Perfect for rats
I think I bought 10cm one and the material is very strong and flexible. Imagine a straw with the extender in the middle; but 100x stronger. It made it very manageable to bend into the shape I desired to develop a tunnel going from 1 floor to another floor. Perfect for ferrets !

Great for my rats!
It really is a huge heavy duty version of the bendy joint from a plastic straw like others described. It's easy to stretch out, keeps its shape well and the ridges create good climbing surface for my rats to really get almost completely vertical! I used extra large (~30cm) cable ties to secure it to the sides of the cage and again the ridges are perfect for it to not slip within the ties so it's very secure.
