Short extension arm works, most of the time
Have miter saw set up on dewalt stand with the long slide out extension arms, but sometimes they are too far away to hold board ends. Purchased this extension to help, which it does, but it mounts at a set length that cannot be shortened, was hoping it would slide in and out for adjustment. Ended up making a sliding support to fit on the rails that can be slid between the saw and the extension, plus made it much wider to handle up to 14" wide boards as the extension only extends 4" from the fence even though another couple inches are behind it. Like most things, it does a job ok, but with some modifications, it can do much more.
