EXCELLANT REPRESENTATION OF 9F CROSTIE FROM HORNBY
ANOTHER FINE AND AUTHENTIC BR (UK) MODEL STEAM ERA LOCOMOTIVE REPRESENTION FROM HORNBY. ONE THAT MANY PEOPLE THOUGHT MAY NEVER EVER BE PRODUCED, BUT IT JUST GOES TO SHOW, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IS IN PRODUCTION JUST AROUND THE CORNER. HARD TO BELIEVE LIKE MANY PEOPLE HAVE STATED PREVIOUSLY BOTH VERBALLY AND IN WRITTEN ARTICLES, THAT THIS MODEL FALLS INTO THE "RAILROAD" PRODUCTION SECTION FROM HORNBY. AS THE MODEL POSSESSES MANY ATTRIBUTES WHICH ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE "SUPER DETAILED" AND MORE EXPENSIVE MODELS FROM THE COMPANY. A GOOD SEARCH WILL FIND PURCHASE OF THIS LOCOMOTIVE FOR UNDER THE £100, WHICH STILL SEAMS AN AWFULL LOT OF MONEY FOR PLASTIC AND METAL ASSEMBLED AND OPERATING IN HARMONY TO BE CHARGED FOR. Hornby 9f crosti boiler models
The hornby 9f crosti boiler models are what I'd describe as a near perfect model in terms of performance/looks/quality and pretty good durability...the only thing I'd change on the model is the tender screw port (made of plastic only) which the loco drawbar screws up to...when removing the tender...sometimes even carefully the screw port can crack/split when undoing and tightening the screw...(luckily there is a way around it without touching the screw on the tender)...instead undo the screw on the loco attached to the drawbar...should you want to dismantle it for modifying/repairs etc...anyway it's a very good 9f model and will make a magnificent addition to ones collection!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
