Aero 800 The Low Price KING
This case is amazing for the price, it houses a 2x120 and 1x120 rads, or a 280,240 and 120. now thats pretty impressive alone for 40 quid. aerocool have been listening to their customers, now the internal front panel wires have been extended by 6" each, and theyve fitted a front mesh internal filter too, not found on the earlier versions of this case. although i removed this to allow greater airflow going inwards.
everything fits with ease with room to spare for my pump and front drive bay double reservoir.
luckily my old kolink case had a card reader that fitted straight into the front and screwed in beautifully, without this theres just a blanking plate that you peel off to fit the sd reader.
The white colour of this case is super bright, even lighter than fresh gloss paint, in fact id say they put a hint of blue in the paint to make an ice white colour, it looks stunning and modern, its a very high gloss finish, like car paint.
the side panel is medium smoked and you cant see anything inside until its illuminated, ive gone for a 12" white cold cathode on the bottom psu cover, it looks so nice.
it comes with 2 fans that i have removed cause ive fitted corsair pwm fans in push pull, it comes with a plain black one and a super bright blue led one, both are 3 and 4 pin and totally silent.
on the other side theres space for 3 hdds or ssds, 20 in the caddy and one at the side of the motherboard, also you can fit a nice ssd raid 0 array inside the case facing outwards, so its got it licked for storage options.
the top dust filter is magnetic and washable (my favourite kind) as you can make your own with some magnetic tape and steel mesh to your own taste and gauge.
even though the front panel is steel mesh, it doesnt restrict airflow going into the case at all, that impressed me bigtime.
you can fit the biggest of gfx cards in this case, my hd5970 is a monster at 12" long and it fits easily with inches to spare for my pump.
the entire inside of the case is steel and sprayed with black satin stonechip paint. great for stopping reflections and of course it hides the black cables nicely, really looks neat!
Ive got nothing bad to say about this case, even the rear fan mounting is adjustable in height, aerocool have a winner here and i cant see myself changing this awsome chassis anytime soon.
there is also a dust filter at the bottom for the psu, and the psu cage silences noisy hard drives right down due to it being sealed, ive fitted some 3mm thick foam to the back to dampen any noise even further, even with 7 fans and a pump, you cant hear a thing unless you are right next to it, im loving it, the best 40 quid ive ever spent on a pc part to be honest.
Its very well though out and looks stunning when fully built, for a case this price theres no panel gaps anywhere, everything has fit snugly, and the paint job is top notch and striking, i went for the white version as it matches my hp pavillion 24xw monitor, it also comes in royal blue, gunmetal and jet black aswell.
The front panel power button lights blue ive changed this to whiite to stay matched with everything else, the reset button needs a ballpoint pen to activate.
the blanking plates are all thouroghly vented and so is the back panel, the top rad mountin area gives room for a 2x120 rad with 25mm depth fans, the rad can be upto 40mm thick, and 60mm thick at the front if you mount the fans behind the front grill, theres enough room for this to avoid turbulence.
if you bought any other case big enough to mount this much hardware you would need to spend at least double the amount (80 quid) not even the high end corsair cases hold three radiators of different sizes, so with that in mind this is the ultimate low price case.
Forgot to mention there are also two large standoff feet at the bottom that raise the case from the floor by 3cm, enabling the psu to be cooled properly which is nice, the feet are very sturdy and angled outwards.
both side panels are rigid and are of pretty high quality and heavy steel, they fit perfect with no gaps or twists, no problems in that department at all.
What i really like about this case is the psu and hdd cover, its the perfect length for mounting a 12" cold cathode and lines up with the side window absolutely perfect, this case is an all round winner for me a absolutely love it and you will too!
Pros: everything above
Cons:None.
