Excellent Air Rifle
I read many reviews of Crossman air rifles and the Optimus was rated very highly. Now I understand why! It is an excellent piece of machinery. Sturdy build, quality throughout and a scope that was very easy to sight in. It is a single shot, one pump rifle which is exactly what I wanted. The velocity for pest control is right on at 1200 fps with the recommended pellets (not BBs). The cocking process takes some strength, as was pointed out by other reviewers, but not excessive. One pump is a vast improvement of the 3-10 pumps many rifles require. I highly recommend this air rifle for pest control as well as target shooting.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great starter rifle
Ive been playing around with this rifle as a beginner for a few weeks now. I think this is a great gun because its extremely accurate out of the box and you dont need to use C02 or pump it 10 times before firing. simply break the barrel, add a pellet and fire. i will note that the instructions say put about 250 shot through it before you can expect any real accurate readings but i found 50-100 shots was fine to zero in the scope and start target shooting. upgraded to nitro vermon
I was sent a different model than ordered, but more powerful nitro system, in 22 cal instead of 177 cal,and a better scope in 3X9X32 instead of 4X32. scope was easy to mount and easy to sight in! Excellent Rifle
Wow, great quality for the price. Mine is a straight shooter right out of the box. I haven't had to site it in yet. First day I nailed 2 of the rabbits that have been destroying my horses hay. Quality shows in this great entry rifle

A serious air rifle!
This is no toy. Will push gamo alloy pellets at 1200 fps. Trigger is a bit rough but hopefully will smooth out with more shooting. The included scope is far superior to other air rifle scopes I have had. All in all, a great buy on an adult air rifle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
