Excellent Choice
I have recently replaced my old steamer for a Morphy Richards model which is perfect for steaming vegetables, potatoes, chicken rice and fish, this one has the added advantage of having a rice tray and timer which I have found to be of great benefit. There is also a handy removable drip tray which makes the steamer easy to clean, it also collects the vegetable juices which enables you to use as a stock for your sauces. The trays and the lid are dishwasher safe and the tiers will stack neatly together for convenient storage. After steaming your veg, you will never want to go back to boiled veg again. I would highly recommend this model, it has been one of my better purchases.

This product is excellent value for money. It takes a little practice to get the timings correct but once mastered it is easy to use and clean. Carrots do stain the dish but that is unavoidable. Quick delivery. Fully recommend.

Lovely wee device
With properly stackable layers for sensible storage and fairly foolproof design, this is a great product. I would have loved to be able to set it going for 90 rather than only 60 minutes, but it does force me to return to inspect both the food AND the water level at 60 mins. So not a real objection. Simply: fill with water, place food appropriately, set timer and walk away. Easy and efficient. Thank you Morphy Richards for another great product.

simple and effectice, bit awkward to dismamtle for storage
thia is a standard electric steamer, looks nice and works well. is easy to clean and bonus being able to see the water level during use. only gripe is that when you dismantle it each section breaks down into a side piece and base. makes it a bit awkward to stack for storage and has to be put back together in the right order. each section is labelled so its not hard just would be quicker and simpler if they were just three baskets rather than 3 sides and 3 bases. this probably means cleaning is more thorough.

Very pleased with my new steamer.
Looks stylish, cooks food very nicely. The bottom of the baskets are removable which makes it a lot easier to clean than my old one which had to be replaced as it had expired from old age. I don't steam a lot of food but for things like salmon, broccoli and new potatoes this steamer is perfect. Add the food to the basket, set the timer and that is it, perfectly cooked fish.

Morphy Richards 470001 3 tiered food steamer
Very simple to use. Great value. Bell rings once not too loud. If in another room, I personally would set my own timer on phone as I tend to forget and didn’t hear it. 30 minutes had 2 chicken skinless drumsticks no foil (bottom tier) (didn’t flavour chicken because it was first time and wanted to check it would be steamed through), with the rice and water same amount in rice tray in (middle tier) on my plate ready. Took chicken off bone to serve. No stressing over stove or checking the oven. Just went about my day. 🍗🍚😊👍

It does the job!
Overall a good steamer but I can not get use to each tier separating from their base. I have lifted the handle and the side has lifted but not the base and the food has spilt over onto the work surface! Good value though.
