The dog Father
The DVD is great and shows you what to do and how to do it. Overall it works very well and is worth investing in if you plan on training your pets. Training runs $90 to $150 an hour which is expensive and as I found trainers train you to train your dog. Then why not use the video and save the cash. The only issues I had was the collar was a little difficult to modify, it took some effort to make it smaller and I suggest more advise on behaviors (anxious or timid dogs) would be nice because a lot more us deal with rescues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not for our dogs!
We have two dogs about 5 months old and this is what we found. We watched the video several times as recommended and found that both dogs totally flipped out when we tried to use the collar. In the video we were told that they might act like a sack of potatoes or flip around and they did both. We did exactly what the video asked and stuck with the training and didn't give in. Both dogs flipped around and went crazy as if someone shot then in the butt with a shotgun. If they weren't flipping around they laid down and wouldn't move. They were super terrified when we put the collar on. Now if you pet them with a traditional collar on and touch anywhere near the collar they take off running and don't want anything to do with us. Correction for dog "pulling" behavior
My beagle/feist pulls very hard on a leash, I was hoping this would help me train her to walk without pulling. So far it's been unsuccessful, she doesn't respond to it any differently than a regular collar but I will continue to work with her. I See A Difference...
I think the command collar has made some difference in my dogs. I purchased 2 packages. It made a difference in that the dogs do walk beside me as long as they are collared and leashed. It has not really stopped them from pulling if they see a squirrel or another dog. They are still barkers.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This guy is good
We own a Basenji mix dog. He is incredibly whacko and definitely has a mind of his own and does what he wants to do, when he wants to do it! We have owned many dogs over the years but "Harry" takes the cake. It took about 2 to 3 months to get him potty trained. Trying to get him to do anything is an exercise in futility. I could not get him to walk on a leash. So I decided to try the "DogFather" dvd. WOW!! After watching the dvd, we took the collar and put it on Harry. Then I took him out for a walk. He would not walk. So I followed the dvd instructions and within 5 minutes Harry was walking. About 20 minutes later, Harry was walking by my side and for all appearances you would have thought he was a trained dog. Now when we go for a walk, Harry is obedient and walks right next to me. Doesn't work for us--
5 month basenji/terrier too tough to be intimidated by the collar teeth. Collar rolls around on her neck and I am reluctant to jerk on her throat. Bought the wrong size first (large dog) and would like to return it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Keep your money
The color does not work at all I'm about to send it back my dog pulls me just the same if not more even with the commands given she is still pulling and she's just a schnauzer very disappointed really was looking forward to helping her get more discipline but I guess is not from this dog collar.. :(Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
