I'm shocked at how good these fans are, especially at this price point! Just looking at the box, you know there's something good inside. They work really well, they look nice, and they are very versatile. The soft feet are effective, the PWM control is great, and the cables are long. The fans are ball bearing, so they'll last running horizontally. Yes, they make a slight bearing noise as expected. Eliminate DVR problems before they begin with this fan system.
DISH Network recently replaced our DVR with the 722 Duo model. Some online research told us it's a model plagued with problems that all seem to originate with the box overheating. We figured we'd be proactive, and looked into cooling fans; a little research led us to these AC Infinity fans, and we're glad we got them. We placed one on each side of the DVR vent holes - right side draws air in, left side blows it out. Since setting these fans up a couple weeks ago, our DVR isn't even warm to the touch. Even on the highest speed, you cannot hear them run - they just sit there and quietly do their job. Superb!
I bought these dual fans to sit atop the vents on my Oppo 105D since it sits in a cabin. So easy to set up. Simply plug into one of the rear USB ports and put them in place. Studio level quietness - moves a lot of air
I bought these 80mm fans to cool a Roland V-1HD video switcher which has a notoriously loud fan. When in my studio I this product to be MUCH quieter than it is. I have taken the lid off of the switcher and unplugged its fan, and then set these two fans on top of the logic part of the switcher. Theses fans are a great addition. I use them where ever I happen to be sitting just to quietly move the air around me. Living in a 45' RV means you only keep things that do the Job they were designed for and don't waste space. I also have them on my wifi router and Xbox. Quiet fans
I am using the fans to cool a receiver. I use one fan to pull and one fan to push air through the receiver. They are set at medium speed and keep the receiver at a nice stable temperature.They are super quiet and I cannot even tell they are running. If I needed more I would not hesitate to buy them again. In my opinion they are very nice fans and well worth the money.
