comes in original packaging which is very hard to open; so, presumed genuine. has transformed the machine. i have tried resharpening blade, but, of course, the gap gets larger and you can't get as good an edge. also, the bolt goes not do up as tightly with repeated use. so, it seems better to bite the expensive bullet and just replace.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looks good - doesn't work
I bought this because it was a lot less expensive than a Bosch original. It looked good in the packet. However, when I came to fit it I found it was a couple of millimetres thinner than the original blade so that, even when the retaining bolt was fully tightened, the new blade was loose. Undeterred, I fitted a rubber packing washer between the blade and the bolt head. Everything now good and tight. But it didn't shred at all. Gap between the cutting edge of the blade and the fixed plate that guides the material in not correct maybe? Dismantled again and refitted the packing washer under the blade. Reassemble and test. Useless. I've ordered a proper Bosch blade.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Made my garden shredder as good as new
I decided that a new blade was required after several operations resulted in garden material being dragged through the machine with little shredding going on. Replacement was a little difficult as the fixing bolt had stuck tight but persistence won over in the end. The shredder now works as well as it did when new. The blade was not cheap but having read reviews on cheaper blades, I decided to purchase an original Bosch blade and am pleased I did.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

New blade makes all the difference
A new blade transformed my recently purchased used shredder where the previous owner was sharpening an old blade and was fed up with the resulting performance. With the new blade in it dealt readily with 25mm conifer branches all day long. This made the shredder a bargain. It did dull eventually before needing to be reversed but by the time the second edge went the huge pile of cuttings had been chopped up ready for bagging/compost.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great, but watch out for stones.
Nice bit of kit, genuine Bosch. My shredder was SO much more efficient with a new blade. But it is not at all resilient. A single stone, accidentally put in with the twigs and the edge is ruined. So that works out an expensive batch of shredding.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Only used once so far
Only used once so far .I bought this to replace the cheaper blade that I’ve had for a while in order to shred more garden waste. I can’t say if it’s better than the cheaper versions until I’ve used it several times . It cost a lot more than the copy and the quality is clearly better ,so I’m hoping it will last longer. If it shreds well and lasts I shall replace it in the future with the same . The supply company dispatched it very quickly so I would use them again .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointing performance
I bought the Bosch 2200 shredder because I have great faith in Bosch products. This time though' I got it wrong' I only use this machine for shredding prunings from the garden, nothing more than 25mm at most. I am now on my fourth blade (despite them being double sided) in as many months. I get the feeling the metal used is too soft as it blunts and pits very easily. I have tried re-sharpening one with an oilstone but it still does not last very long. Not one of my best buys!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quickly delivered
Stayed with genuine replacement part as I tend to be rather heavy handed and I can trust Bosch tools to stand this work. I have knocked lumps of metal out of the previous blade and I value my safety (fingers and eyes) over saving a few coppers.
