Want to Test your Blood Glucose Then use this
This is just the job for checking your blood glucose levels as you only need a pin head size of blood or smaller for it too take the test. If you are a diabetic Type 2 like I am then it lets you gain control over your sugar levels. Test strips are freely available and you may be even be able to get them prescribed on the NHS. This is exactly the same instrument that my wife who is Diabetic Type 1 has been using for many years with no problems. It even stores many moths of readings so you do not have to keep a manual dairy.

Don't purchase - Not New, several years old and has been opened.
Described as new. But this is untrue. The outer packaging plastic wrap was removed and the boxes have been opened (mine was torn). The test trps are TWO years out of date as is the glucose test solution. The batteries were flat in the monitor. Although two extra were supplied.

A recommended device.
I have used one daily for nearly 7 years. It proved reliable and fault free. It is claimed to be accurate but I have no way of confirming this, however it produced consistent and reproducible results as an accurate meter would do. The latest version has a few changes of which the read out is much improved, and the lancing device is as pain free as I have ever experienced, even at the maximum setting. I do not know how the competition may have improved, but this product meets all my needs. A Eakin.

Good Piece of Kit
It is much easier to use than other monitors I have had. Also it uses a much smaller amount of blood to test, which I did not believe when I read the instructions. But it does, much less. Plus, I like the way the little monitor bleeps when the test result is going to show. This one would be ideal to a new Diabetic on Insulin, having to test regularly. One other thing. The test strips that you use are not 'monitor' coded, so this means the strips are easier to obtain. My GP gives me a prescription for them and there is no problem to get it filled at my local Pharmacy.
