This item seems to be the real deal. It's got an official barcode and it functions very well. The analogue sticks are firm and the pressure sensitive buttons are satisfying. The right analog stick is quite sticky
You know the says condition of the product is Manufacturer refurbished; however, after just a few uses, the right analog stick is sticky. I believe that this would not be a problem if the controller were truly Manufacturer refurbished. Exactly as advertised!
I had my doubts about it when I first purchased it with numerous knockoffs floating around the marketplace. But I was extremely pleased to see that these controllers are in fact refurbished and made with Genuine SONY parts! I played with both controllers and so far there were. 1. Very little input lag button presses between remote and Tv. 2. No sticky buttons or joy sticks. 3. Characters on screen performed actions according to corresponding button presses. 4. Long battery life Although if you used to own your own ps3 controllers during the first and second gen ps3 consoles were out you'll find the the casings would be different as these models have seem to have been made during the start of the third generation ps3 console as they have a different casing but I found this to be a welcoming change as it offered a little bit more comfort to the hands and feels more gripable as it doesn't feel like it'll slip out of your hands. So to make things short, if you want a truly original genuine controller to buy then by all means go and pick this up, it's worth the money!

questionably good?
most sony controllers run about 45 to 50$, compared to a knock off. this controller is a milimeter smaller (1.23 on my micrometer) but matte black instead of slick reflective finish. the molding is better as well. but there's still that delay, not as bad as the knockoff but so in between its hard to tell. good deal 👍Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

FINALLY
I needed a sixaxis controller to play Heavy Rain, and every damn one didn't work. There's a SERIOUS problem with people selling knockoff PS3 controllers. Some even have a Sony outer shell and crap insides. Easiest way to tell is no motion sensor, and it constantly tells you to plug the controller in while it's plugged in. This one worked right out of the box, and the sixaxis/motion sensor works perfectly. It does say recertified on the back, but I expected that. 10/10!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Controller as described
The controller works well. I had three flaws with the controller I received, but they can be overlooked for a no longer officially supported console accessory: 1) moving the left stick down will make the analog stick stay in the down position, 2) after about two weeks of use, the r1 button squeaks when pressed, and 3) (this may be a flaw of the ps3 console and not the controller, I'm not completely sure) if another controller is plugged in, moving the left stick in the down right or down left position will cause the console to think that the left stick is being pushed forward and backwards. As stated, issue 3 may be a fault of the console and not the actual controller. That being said, I am very happy with the controller.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
