Effective and humane mouse killer with minor flaws
At first glance the Victor electronic mouse trap may appear to be an expensive alternative to traditional traps - but it does have advantages! My Jack Rusell recently discovered that I had a mouse problem and began to empty all my kitchen cupboards with great enthusiam, all through the night, which obviously prompted immediate action. I was going to buy half a dozen conventional mouse traps but then realised that all I was going to catch was a very nosey terrier that loves cheese; so I looked for a safer alternative. At first glance the Victor looked expensive, but most interesting, so I ordered one. Two days later it arrived and I began to set it up. The instructions told me to put peanut butter on the smooth plastic inside rear panel of the Victor, which I did. I then noticed the bait slid slowly down the panel and onto one of the "shocking plates". Having cleaned off the oily bait I simply used a small piece of self adhesive felt which held the peanut butter perfectly in place. With the batteries fitted I placed the trap in a safe spot where the mice had obviously been; and waited. A couple of days later the "green LED kill indicator" was still not flashing so I checked the trap to discover a demised rodent. I then checked the trap every day and for ten consecutive days and it had done its job perfectly, and silently. So the question remains is the Victor good value? Well, from a practicle viewpoint, it does precisely "what it says on the tin" without fuss and without the need to actually touch the demised mice - ladies please note! However :- *the LED does not, as it's supposed to, indicate a kill. * the plastic cover to the "killing zone" is very flimsy when compared to the tough construction of the rest of the deivce. * the inconvenient lack of a textured surface to hold the peanut butter bait. so I have only awarded the Victor four stars. I am now going to see whether the Victor will continue to work over much longer periods in an equally effective way.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Most effective mouse trap
This trap is very effective, when baited with peanut butter no mouse can resist it! I've tried various types of mouse traps but this one catches the most mice. Okay for Mice
The trap was advertised as Mouse/Rat killer,it's far too small for a rat to even enter. So far mine has not not caught a mouse,so can't say if it works or not. I made the purchase because i have a classic limousine that had a mouse in,so this is in the boot should another rodent find it's way in i'm hoping the V trap will work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
