    Well designed

The light is plenty bright enough for locating and disorienting targets at CQB distances. It’s light weight, ergonomic, and low profile. The light is easy to activate mounted to Magpul MOE/MLOK hand guards (mid length). It mounts securely but is easy to remove, leaving only a small section of 1913 rail attached to the hand guard. I haven’t had it long enough to test durability but so far, I am confident it will perform well if I need to investigate things that go bump in the night at my house. I plan to get a second one to mount to a similar carbine length system, but I will probably use a cantelever rail section to maximize space on the hand guard. (You can tell from the photos that I shoot left handed.)

  • Most critical review

Formerly good product, now cheapened by poor quality plastic parts.

Not my first Inforce WML. Already have the old generation WML-XL and wanted a shorter light for another application. This fit the bill, but they cheapened the product. Most obviously, the safety lever is now made of plastic. Used to be metal. Now this cheap lever wobbles around and is anything but positive. Very disappointing. I have little doubt that, over time, this will break. Bad move, Inforce, I cannot recommend your new lights.

  • Good Little Light

This went on an a 5.56 carbine in the 12 O’clock position. The light sits low enough that It is just visible in the bottom of the standard height Holosun red dot mounted behind it. The body of the light does not block the view at all. I have about 1200 rounds through the setup with about 200 of those with the light turned on. No flickering so far, but it hasn’t rolled out in the Jeep yet, so, time will only tell. The light is not super bright but it has a good amount of spill and seems about right to see through tinted windows or clearing a structure. Plenty of light to identify things in the back yard. Don’t expect to hunt hogs or coyotes with it. I got exactly what I expected, hope you do too.

  • Excellent compact rail mount lighting solution

This is my 10th weapon light. Specifically, 5th picatinny mounted light. First, being polymer, I expected it to have a cheap feeling and lots of flex. For what it is, this light is great. For polymer, it's built tight and tough. To mount and dismount the light quickly, there isn't much anything better on the market. I was tempted to save myself $20 and buy the lower 200Lumen model, but I'm happy I didn't. At 400 lumens, this light outshines a surefire that boasts the same lumens. It has a strong fill, a great sharp focus point, and it is definitely bright enough for 50meter engagements, and it still useable out to a safe 150meters without hesitation. I'd recommend this weapon light for anyone looking for an inexpensive, reliable and versatile solution that won't need a remote switch for operation, and doesn't want the weight of metal on the forend of your platform. In the event this light should fail, I'd be very surprised if it was anything other than the polymer housing or mounting lips, and it would have to be some blunt force to do it. I tool the light and stood on it in the house on a tiled floor. After that I took a light hop on it too and it didn't faulter even after my 160lbs was completely exerted. Great buy, excellent inexpensive weapon light. If buy another one when I have more rail space to fill on the next platform.

  • Quality rifle light

Very good rifle light. Well made and positions very well on 1913 rails. Neat safety features and full of cool ideas in a little package. You can tell they put some thought into this and the beam itself is quality.

  • Just not for me ergonomically

This is a well made product that should last through almost any kind of use situation. The light did what it is supposed to do and, with a blue filter, is great for HD. My problem was strictly ergonomics. Could not find a comfortable position to access the on switch. I do much better with an offset light mount (VLTOR) with a QD mount and an ultrabright flashlight. It is a shame that this did not work for me as I really wanted it to do so.

  • Lightweight and very good quality.

This light has all you could ever ask for with many great features. I own some other brands of lights, some much more expensive, and this one beats them all. It has a very good beam, has the ability to easily switch modes, attaches and detaches with ease.

  • Good light, easy install

I mounted mine on the 10 o'clock position on my AR. Easy to use with my left thumb when light is desired. Having said that, the actual button for activation is a relatively small area of the large thumb pad and it takes a little thought to get your thumb in the right position. That is why I did not give it 5 stars.

  • Best Rifle Light for the money.....

Ok so in my opinion you don't need 1200lumen super duper bright light for your rifle, 100 to 500 lumen is perfect. This light does everything it needs to do, super lightweight, good build quality, excellent controls and is inexpensive(compared to others). I've got 2 of these so far and will never buy another $300 Surefire Operator commando overpriced light. Their APL pistol lights are great as well. Streamlight makes good lights for the money too.

  • Inforce 400 Lumen Weapon Light (W-05-1 Gen 2) is good stuff.

Great low profile, quick change rail light. Just 400 lumens is perfect for CQ. Takes 1 x CR123 battery which is fine. It would be nice to have the option to use a single AA like Streamlight’s “Dual Fuel” lights but anyway just a thought. This is a great very practical WML that anyone could find use for even if you have a few $400 Surefires. Switch and lock out lever is great. On/Off rail with no tools needed. Just one hand is all you need. No remote switch but that’s the whole point. Simple, compact and effective. Seems pretty rugged and lite. Sometimes polymer is better. Payed $105 I think? A decent value but I would like to see this light retail for under $100. I would consider checking out one of their other more powerful lights now as well. Great little light.
