Small & Useful
I've owned a Rambler for over 25 years, it's always in my pocket. Always. The magnetic Philips screwdriver, scissors, blade and toothpick have come in handy so many times I can't even count. My 25 year old one has gone missing a couple times (always found) so I figured I had better buy a backup in case it goes missing permanently. I hate being without it. The small size is what sets this useful tool apart from the regular sized Swiss Army Knives, and the scissors set this particular small version apart from the other small knives.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The most useful of the "featherweight" class
Swiss Army knives are just as you'd expect: multi-use devices to have handy, when having anything is better than nothing. The "Rambler" is, in my opinion, the perfect balance of light weight and usefulness. I didn't want a big, bulky one with many features, but not the "standard" one with too few. The decision maker was the bottle opener. That, with scissors, file, toothpick, tweezer, and pocket knife? Good enough! NOW, there is the next level up from the "Rambler", the "MANAGER". It's the same as this, but with a retractable pen and flashlight. Should I have gotten that? Not sure, I heard in a review that the scales are more fragile and hollow to accommodate for those extras. Perfect for a keychain
Always seem to need a knife or bottle opener at random times. I decided on a swiss army knife Rambler style because of its size and features. eBay seller Central Valley Wholesale sells black ones (probably by switching our the side scale covers), which is awesome as I prefer black over red. I can confirm that the knife was brand new out of the box. The first thing I did with the knife was open a beer with the bottle opener and test cut some paper. Takes about two prys to bend the bottle cap off and cuts the paper clean. Perfect for a keychain.

Most Useful of the Victorinox Configuration
This pocket knife is probably the best combination of size and utility. Sure there are bigger and better equipped models with much more variety of tools. But the key word is BIGGER. Their size and weight make them impractical to carry around in your pocket all the time.
