A classic Airfix kit of an iconic liner, this model lacks the refined detail of current ship models, but, once cleaned-up, it makes up into a lovely model OOB. it is very accurate - Airfix used the original shipbuilders general arrangements. A wonderful kit, a wonderful ship and a wonderful project.
This is without a doubt a perfect addition to all ship lovers, me myself am a BIG fan of all the epic and stunning four smokestack liners. My prize is the RMS Titanic 1/400 which will always be my best model ever and my all time fav ship. However.. the RMS Mauretania needs excellent acknowledgement also as being a ship that SHOULD still be with us today. My project has revealed her in her 1933 livery, pure white with a bright green hull and red smokestacks capped with black tops. It is my fond hope that one day airfix or any other model brand will make kits of RMS Aquatania, USS Cyclops, Andrea Doria, HMHS Britannic and HMS Royal Oak. - probably never will be produced but it's nice to dream. Anyhow.. this is a kit and a project that I have enjoyed every minute of every second. A wonderful kit, a wonderful ship and a wonderful project.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
