Solar Rings as opposed to cover
You need a lot of them to get significant coverage if you have a normal to above normal sized pool. This makes them a pretty expensive option. If you have a custom shaped pool, they are probably a better option as opposed to a cover that gets pretty heavy and awkward to remove.
Overall - they do a very good job of heating and preventing evaporation (this is why I bought them, and hence 5 stars for that).
A few notes (and the reason i have them one less star). Often, when you go to remove them, you will find that many don't hold half to all of their air when you take them out of the pool. So i have to re-inflate about 3-4 of the 20 of them to keep them inflated. 2nd - do NOT leave them in the direct sun when they are out of the pool. They get very hot and the plastic almost feels like it will melt. Rinse them off (if possible) - I have heard that the chlorine can fade/wear on them if it dries on them out of the pool.
