WiFi coverage problems? No more!
If you have a large home and have had issues getting a reliable WiFi signal broadcast through your entire house, look no further. I have had this Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-LR US Wireless Access Point for only two days, I can only say it's outstanding! I have a 2200 SQ/FT home and previously had WiFI repeaters (2) spread throughout my house, didn't work well, poor signal strength made the WiFi very unreliable. This AP (Access point) is easy to set up on a home or small business network without a professional installer, using a PoE switch (Required) only one wire to run and that is the ethernet cable. Now I enjoy WiFi coverage everywhere in my home that is fast and reliable. The device is slightly bigger than a household smoke or CO detector, it came with instructions, mounting hardware for a wall or ceiling and a PoE (Power over Ethernet) adapter. If you have a very large building that needs more than one AP you should buy a separate PoE switch. You will still need your modem and router! Great product, for me the best on affordable APs
Ubiquiti has demonstrated they know what is to be specialized on wireless networks, their family of unify products has whatever you need to build your wifi network whereas your office or your home, their products meet your needs, exceeds your requirements and makes you happy. I bought this LR AP and set it on a 2nd floor of a 2 story house, with concrete walls, it's 1 single AP serving the full 2k sqft house, of course signal is kind of weak at the limits (outside) of the house but you still have stable connectivity , with their free software to manage their AP's you can have full control of your clients, and know how's your biggest consumer of bandwidth, you can also build your virtual SSIDs and create your host networks limiting bandwidth at will at client level if you like. Legacy Wifi that still works
Bought this on the cheap to pair with my existing UAP AC Lite. Big differences are no AC, no Gigabit port, older firmware. Still connects me to the internet and has longer range. Works great long range
Easy to set up took about 5 minutes. I have this set up in a detached building at my house and it covers the entire building at full strength five bars (800sf). It then reaches into about half the house. Now I just need to put one in the middle of the house and I should get five bars for the entire house. I though I would need three or four of these to do both buildings but two will do more that I need. For $85 this is an great deal considering you do not need to purchase a hardware controller and it also comes with a free POE adapter.
