Does all I hoped
An end to annoying calls, the blocking system is excellent. The phones are clear, easy to use and have good volume. Answering machine works well. If only they would go to the small extra cost of enclosing a full printed version of the instructions rather than having to go online would have been five stars. Not sdo simple
This is no easy way to block unwanted callers at will. Luckly I waited for help from someone more knowledgeable before setting up. If left to its own devices the machine will grill incoming callers involving voice recognition which is likely to deter the callers and make them hang up! To bypass that option is not easy and its effectiveness is not yeat clear. When a caller is blocked calls from that source are still allowed to ring and the phone display tells you that it is a blocked call! I foresee a long journey ahead in getting the system close to what I want and need - something to bl;ock unwanted calls! Simple? No. Obviously designed by geeks trying to justify their jobs, but who have no idea what the problem involves for ordinary people who find it difficult to understand geek language and logic (?).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Phone Handset but Charger has issues.
Handset works well but does not sit in charging base supplied with it very well. Charging the pre installed batteries for the 48 hours as suggested, did not actually increase the Charge level at all. Using the charger base I already had from the handset it is replacing, felt like it held the new handset more securely ... (it did not wobble about !) and did a proper job recharging the new handset batteries. All new handset functions were easily programmed. In the end I got a replacement working Handset.. but the charging Base fit was a disappointment and is not being used.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cost effective way to keep my phone system
I bought this to replace a damaged 8600 handset. I like the 8600 system and didn’t want to replace the entire system because of one out of commission handset. This has proved cost effective way of keeping the system running. The handset was brand new, as the seller described, and arrived a day earlier than I was expecting it. Replace land line line with another BT8610 handset
I had a land line which had become defective. I already had 2 BT8610 handsets and the defective phone was affecting their operation. So I had the idea to replace the bad phone with another BT8610 handset. So I purchased one from you and when I installed it all the phonebook and other data automatically synchronised. Good phone, works well.
After an initial hitch setting it up (you have to fully charge the batteries and then if it says 'line cord error' rather than this being a huge fault as suggested by google searches it just involved swapping batteries around and that sorted it) it has worked well so far. great looking phone set
This is a great looking piece of kit!. It doesn't take up much space, and is easy to read in the dark!. If only there was some info on how to actually send a text message, and actually getting it sent, they would be even better!. 100% solution for cold calls
We did had a good Panasonic system but constant cold calls made us have to change to this type of system which has been 100% successful. We bought this trio set just to get 2 extra phones as we already had a Quad package and wanted to use 6 (maximum you can have) around the house. Easy to deregister the 2 extra phones from now redundant new base station and re-register them with existing one.
