Good overall package, but for DIY use only
A nice package of kit for a newbie that contains 1/2 inch collet for use with my current tools. Worked well and still works well, but the depth locking handle broke on first use ( manufacturing fault with the plastic). I was half way through a job that needed to be completed when my last router seized so a bit disappointed that this was not fit for purpose out of the box to continue the job. I had to make a new locking handle which suffices until I receive the replacement which has been quickly sourced by the manufacture. I should have thought before I bought
Good powerful router that is clearly built to last. Unfortunately the designers were unaware that many users buy routers for use with templates to give clean and precise work. This router has no facility for the fitting of standard guide bushes and so cannot be used with templates without adaptation. I found an adaptor base-plate and guide that allowed me to do just that. Had I realised in advance that the router would need adaptation I would have spent the money that I spent on the adaptor on buying a better router designed for use with templates.
