Anki Overdrive Supercars
As fans of scalextric and other kinds of racing track games, thought we would give this a go. I was a little apprehensive about the technology, the function and the interfacing apps, but tried it anyway. I'm so very glad we did! The track is easy to build, and the cars stay on it easily. The free apps work on all of the devices we have tried, and you only need to be online for the car upgrades (which are free, and work on any mobile device we used). The controllers work from many devices and I have two kids aged 8 and 10 who both downloaded the apps for their phones and tablets. The app will of course be cheaper when downloaded on wifi, but it is not essential. The combination of real track racing and the visual graphics on your device are truly awesome. Its like the very best PS4 game combined with a real virtual reality game, and then some. The tactics, strategies and special weapons are mind blowing. Truly awesome.
