  • Solid machine, easy and safe to use.

This is a heavy-duty shredder that chomps through fairly thick branches with ease. The shredded wood starts to break down almost immediately as all of the material is crushed rather than just cut. The chomp rate is a little slower (less frenetic) than cheaper shredders and much quieter so tidying the prunings is less stressful for everyone. The only issue is the power connector... There is no power lead; the machine has a 3-pin plug on the body of the shredder, so you need to use your own extension lead to connect to your socket. Which would be fine if there was adequate clearance either side of the plug to connect it. The casing bulges both above and below the plug so it is difficult, if not impossible to find a single-socket extension that will connect. I eventually used a 3-gang (long and thin) to plug it in. It makes sense in that you only have one cable all the way from the machine to the socket so it's safer but until you work that out it's very confusing - no mention of how to connect it in the instructions!

  • Surprisingly easy to use!

I was very impressed with the shredder, it wasn’t loud at all and was easy to fit together and use! The only thing that does concern me is the locking mechanism on the box, if that breaks, the shredder will not start as it needs to fit into place to start it! It doesn’t seem very heavy duty but fingers crossed it will prove me wrong!

  • Excellent - especially for woody matter

Brilliant machine. It copes with chunky branches easily. I've used it lots already and it has not blocked at all. If you have soft leaves to put through they are best alternated with sticks which can push them through (as advised in the instructions).

  • Good shredder, significantly better than the cheap ones.

Pretty robust, and does a good job of shredding a variety of garden waste. Having a decent cable length is good too. It is heavy however, and definitely needs the wheels.
