Useful starting point
Being an old kit there's moulding flash to remove before you start but the parts go together well. I used my latest ones as the basis of a pipe bridge, they also look good with working Eckon signal heads mounted on them. An old plastic kit that has been around for years
I wanted this kit to modify into a load for a GWR Crocodile wagon. I originally bought one of these over 50 years ago! The moulding is still good, with little flash, but I would have liked to see some rivet detail. 2 of the parts were bent and required careful straightening in hot water. This took several attempts to get right, hence the 3 Stars rating. These old kits at least fill a gap in the market and this one is easy to assemble for a child of around 10 years, provided the parts don't need straightening.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Old but still very useful!
This is a product which goes back a bit in time, if I recall correctly, I have used them in two configurations covering 4 tracks and 7 tracks respectively. It is a Continental layout but the gantry is not out of place. Of course I have not used the plastic signal heads as they are definitely "toy like" and not suitable for a German layout. However, what I have done is add working LED signal lights which look very good. I have combined multiple kits in both cases by just joining 2/3 sets together and cutting to suit physical constraints. They are easy to assemble by anyone who is used to building plastic kits with no special skills required. A small bit of trimming with a blade to remove minimal flash is the only very small negative. All in all a very functional and fine visual addition to any layout!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Manufactured well. Instructions fairly easy to follow. Constructing the gantry can be a bit fiddly however for the amateur modeller with the standard tools the finished product is sufficient.
