A robust piece of kit that really works
With trimmers on shavers it took me 40 minutes to shave my head, this took 5 minutes saving me a lot of time; you might not think that's much when you're young but I'm in my 60s and I shave my head once a month sometimes more. This is an extremely well designed and robustly built shaver that fits in your hand wonderfully and you can feel the quality of the build when you hold it. That curved design of the cutters is brilliant, the combs that cope with any length, the charging (40 mins for a 4 hour charge), even the travel pouch that goes with it (you keep it and the charger in the pouch), the little bottle of oil for the cutters, the ability to wash the cutter. A revolutionary trimmer
I trim my own hair & beard, however getting this right with regular corded clippers used to take an hour or more and was a real chore. I would put off cutting my hair for two weeks or more (not a good look for a balding man). I would also get the nasty side effect of sore bumps under my skin (I think lymph nodes) after using the old fashioned clippers. This new trimmer is a revelation, it now takes me 15 mins for a perfect hair and beard trim, plus the finish is far, far better and no sore lumps anymore. Why is it so good? 1) It is curved and the blade is much bigger than regular clippers, the trimming can be done one handed and with a quick gliding motion. With a few sweeps it all comes off with no bits missed. It is also kinder on the skin. 2) It is cordless and lightweight. No longer do you get into knots with the cord and nor are you tied to the nearest power outlet, I now trim my hair in the bathroom instead of the bedroom. The results are superb and achieved quickly, I have now binned my hated old fashioned corded clippers and will never go back. No cut hair can get trapped inside the device and the blades can be removed and rinsed under the tap in an instant (in fact the whole thing is rinseable). The rechargeable battery lasts for at least two 15 min haircuts, possibly more. I highly recommend this product, I wish I had it years ago. I wish I found this years ago..been using top end clippers but they do fail and I had a few nasty little bites...Bought this and thought it's worth ago..OMG..best cutters I have ever used..i use a number 1 but you can use nothing and cut close ..also supplied with loads of attachments..oil..cleaning brush ..charger and travel bag..if you have a shaved head then you have just found the best solution..if you have longer hair don't dive in with a number 1..just use attachments and work your way down to length..once your there it perfect..i know just go over once a week and the charge holds and lasts..Best thing I have bought for years..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Up to date hair clipping technology
I needed to replace by trusty old Wahl unit as the rechargeable battery was no longer working. A short research expedition of Youtube videos on the internet showed this Remington unit as a clear winner so I bought one. It is simply fast, very, very close cutting, much easier to use than the traditional long handled units due to its small size but very wide cutting area and can be used on a daily basis if required. Fantastic piece of kit. I've been using another brand for years, similar to what they use in the barbers shop and its done me well but when I saw this and read the reviews, I had to give it a go and wow.. Easy to use, loads of size clips and well built. I managed to do my hair within 10 minutes and a much better cut thanks to the larger curved edge and no wires. Remington hair trimmer
My old vidal sassoon trimmer gave up the ghost after several years so I decided to treat myself to a new trimmer and this was a perfect replacement. Quick easy and effective... better than the usual rechargeable clippers because of its wide cutter and shape... makes the job of a head trim twice as fast. I did 5 haircuts before recharging, and it probably would have done more... after charging it still sounded the same (i.e. it wasn't slowing down before the recharge). Great peace of kit. One major benefit is that this particular model is cordless which makes it far more versatile to use. It has so many different size attachments you are spoilt for choice.
