Good extender with great range
In all truth, I bought this dual-band extender because I thought it would pick up both bands from my router. It does not. What it does do is pick the 2.4 band and send it out as 2.4 and 5ghz. You will find that the 2.4 will be slower than your original signal and that the 5ghz slows it down considerably less as can be expected. However, all that said, all our gadgets and consoles are now pretty much attached to its 2.4 band rather than our Sky router directly as this extender gives full bars around our house no matter where. My son tells me his Xbox live connection no longer lags. Our extender situated in the upstairs hallway. Even at the end of our garden, easily 15m away & through a bunch of walls, we are now able to get wi-fi without problems. I guess, as long as you have decent speed on your incoming router (ours is around 55-65mb most days), any slowing down won't really affect your gadget experience.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

works ok but they don't tell you that there is a big drop in speed even when close to the hub my speed on wi fi is 36 mb and via the extender is 12 mb at any distance if I have got a poor signal on wi fi at the other end of my house the booster says the signal to weak to boost if I move it to get a stronger signal then it wont boost to the other end of the house so maybe I need more than 1 boosterVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

It works. Not quite as well as I hoped but it does work. Weird how one socket is too close to the hub yet another socket just a few feet away is too far! Also drops the blue "good" signal occasionally for no apparent reason, when still in the same socket and the door still open. Still it does work the signal is definitely better. WiFi dead spots are no more.

It is trial and error establishing where to place the Extender in your home to get the 'Good Range', but once established it's just a matter of switching it on when required. Does what it says on the tin !
Was trying to get broadband connectivity in our annexe. Had to play around with locations to get good range, but found that the 3m space between buildings was covered by putting the extender in the House bedroom nearest the annexe.
