This device is suitable for students and adults as it contains a lengthy vocabulary. I have not tried the games. Its ability to correct miss-spellings is impressive particularly if you enter the word phonetically. It has the ability to store your own words (including any spelling mistakes you have made!). Disappointed
This is no reflection on the seller at all. I purchased this as my dictionary at home is about 20 years old and obviously a lot of today's modern words are not in it. Thought it time for an update, plus with this item, it can help me with the Daily Mail crossword that I do. Unfortunately, it has no more, or very few more words that my 20 year old dictionary. Any word slightly obscure I'm getting the message 'sorry cant help', and yet, once I get the answers to the crossword three days later, I find the word does exist. Disappointing performance
Having used Seiko Oxford English Dictionary models for many years I thought I would try this model because of the attractive price. I was quite disappointed at the performance and information available from this device compared to my previous models. It may suit other persons who have nothing to compare it to but for me it fell short of the mark. Misleading discription
This item is very small, measuring only 1.05cm x .608cm, the measurement shown on the description is for the packaging, the item is much smaller. the screen does not appear white with black print as shown but is dim and difficult to view in daylight. Useless Upgrade Not Worthy Of Franklin
Pathetic Performance compared to the previous Franklin Chambers 108. A pity that the Company does not realise that when they have an excellent product they have to alter it (called upgrading!!) by people who obviously are not as competent as their former designers. Fortunately my 108 still has a bit of life left, after many years of very helpful usage, but the new Franklin has been consigned to the dustbin; the only place fit for it. Sorry Franklin Many friends who regularly do crosswords are in total agreement and I would like to think that Franklin would listen to our comments and do us all a favour by reproducing the Chambers 108. Other than being smaller than I anticipated - buttons are a bit fiddly - it is top quality and comprehensive enough for every day use - size isn't really that important - great for keeping in your pocket or handbad.
