    There are a lot of rotary rasps out on the market and I have generally found them to wear out or simply not even cut to begin with. I bought these to carve out a section of rotten wood prior to repairing - these rasps cut into the wood with ease - once the rotten material was out of the way the rasp still had an excellent cutting action into the clean timber. Very good value for money - I purchased a second set to keep a few in stock although I do not anticipate the first set wearing out that soon.
