Thoroughly Recommended - a Class Act
They say first impressions count, and that they are more usually right than wrong; this is certainly the case with this locomotive. First impressions are that this is a superb looking loco, coupled with a sense of relief that all the detailing parts appear to be securely attached to the loco, with no hint of the suspect durability of some models these days (personal bugbear - don't go for ultrafine detail if it won't stand up to the rigours of transit - however, no hint of that here). Pick it up - wow, it's really heavy - and onto the test track it goes. The loco glides away smoothly in either direction, and the cab and headcode lighting is superb. I didn't check the haulage capacity, but given the weight of the loco, and the smooth performance, it should be equal to the task of whatever you wish to use it for. Recommended - oh yes.
