Not just for guys!
I spent some time researching different types of foam, cream and soap after switching to a metal razor (goodbye plastic disposables!). I would recommend watching a couple of youtube videos about how to lather this if you are new to the product range as it really helped me understand how it works. A little goes a long way and the scent is pleasant and neutral enough not to smell too heavy. Probably the closest kind of description is a clean soap smell. I have used it both under my arms and on my legs and had no skin reactions. My skin doesn't feel tight afterwards and it foams up well to provide a good cushion for a metal razor. Would be great if it came in a non-plastic container but other than that I know it will last me a long time so was well worth paying a couple of pounds more than a high street brand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Proraso super shaving soap
I have a sensitive skin so after a bad experience with wet shaving for years have been using an electric razor including Philips and braawn wet and dry , but decided to try again wet shaving . I have little bumps and spots that will bleed easily so I used olive oil so I could see where the blade was going ,apart from being messy each shave was half an hour of discomfort and I thought my bristles must be extra tough . So I nearly went back to electric however after reading the reviews about Proraso sent for a bowl of sensitive soap [white] and watched the Proraso video of a man using the products . I have to say after soaping up and shaving I couldn't believe how easy it was with the blade just gliding over my face , so now I look forward to having a shave . Yes after the first and second shaves there was a speck of blood but after using Alum it soon stopped , wet shaving is more hygenic with better results it just takes practice and a little care .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for sensitive skin
Be mindful this is a shaving SOAP so there will not be an overly creamy lather but what u will have if u use a brush is a perfect shaving condition, I myself use proraso bore hair brush as it's slightly more firm. I have dermatitis on my face and this soap causes no issues whatsoever with sensitivity but that maybe because I use the proraso pre-shave also.. either way it's a great addition to anyone who shaves with a Safety razor.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Shaving is now a pleasure.
I previously had the standard shave soap by Proraso and liked it a lot, but decided to try the sensitive skin soap and find it more suitable for myself. The soap lasts me for 9 months, so will be some time before reordering, but will be of this brand again. Best Shave Soaps
One of the best makes of shaving soap (Italian). It does what it says and as a shaver for over 55yrs I think I have a little experience. This is the 3rd soap I have purchased and with a good shaving brush gives a good lather and lasts an age. Much better than all the Canned Gels etc. Leaves skin feeling alive. Good for Traditional Shave
This is the second of these tubs of shaving soap I have purchased, having been very pleased with my first. The soap foams up well on the brush and aids a good, comfortable shave. Sensitive skin
I have the Prorasso green in a tube, I find this easier to judge the amount of soap required. I bought the sensitive skin version with the accompanying pre shave. Smells fresh
