Great Product for the DIYer!
This Reliance 6-Circuit Transfer Switch Kit delivered everything that it said it would. It was, as they say, STUPID EASY to install. The only thing that I had to add was 15 feet of water proof conduit, two water tight clamps, and 15 feet of 10 AGW in red, black, and white. The General Electric circuit breakers that were in it all had to be replaced except one due to my personal needs. I have a 120 volt water pump so I removed the Double pole 20 amp circuit (Both sides are internally connected which means if one side trips, so does the other). I now have five 20 amp circuits and one 15 amp. I would suggest that even though the wires are marked, tape the matching red and black wires together before you start. Additionally, use a small piece of masking tape and label the circuit breakers, in your panel box, that you are going to connect. Once you take the panel cover off, circuit numbers are on the floor. If you upgrade from 15 amp to 20 amp breakers like I did, make sure that you limit the things that you turn on to the capability of your generator. As you can see in my picture, one of mine is a GFIC circuit breaker. That powers all of my bathroom lights and outlets. I know its over kill but it was installed pre LED lights so... Match what you have and what you want to work when the power goes off. Balance your load Don't worry, the instructions tell you how to do that.
