Purchased to go on a guitar that needed weightier strings than a standard 9 set but didn't require a 10 set, due to the action, installed and the extra weight overcame the truss rod issue on the guitar mostly. Great sound and work well as do all D'Daddrio strings I have used since 1985. A good set if you want more weight than a 9 set but less string tension than a 10. Great strings. Always consistent ( although there was a short period where top E ball end twist unravelled- all good now)come wrapped and sealed so never corroded( unlike E B and Rotos) last ages, stay bright longer than any other non- coated brand. Nice sets of strings
These are on of the best sets of guitar strings you can buy these days. They are very bright sounding strings and also not squeaky sounding either because they are relatively smooth in comparison to others. I believe that they retain their new sound for longer as well. Only downside for me is that this multipack of strings are NOT individually wrapped in their own packaging so each string has to be separated from the other 5 in the pack when fitting them to your guitar. This may well save on paper packaging but I find this very irritating. I was saying to myself at the time I wish that they were old faithful Ernie Balls which are all individually wrapped. In fairness though, the string ferrules are colour coded so you don't get mixed up as to which string is which.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have used these string for many years and are my first choice. I wouldn’t even think about using any other.
