Effective
Bought 2 of these for my yappy terriers ! When out for a walk they would bark at other dogs and this has now stopped so a pleasure to take out now! No amount of training seemed to work so this direct route is just the job! Too sensative
When wearing this collar my dog stops barking at everything that moves. But only when she is wearing the collar. The down side is it is too sensitive. It sprays if she shakes her head or if my other dog barks. I previously bought the deluxe version which is more expensive. It worked well but died just after a year of use. I only ever use it when she is in full bark mode. I was trying to save money buying this one. Turns out to be a false economy. Does what it says it will do
I live in a flat and have a young dog who found staying home alone difficult and as a result let everyone know by barking. I had tried everything else that is recommended by the experts all to no avail. I was then told about the citronella collar. The first time I used it she barked a couple of times and I could see she had been upset because she had torn her bedding as usual but the collar had obviously calmed her after a little while because she was calm when I got home and didn't get over excited to see me as she had done in the past. On subsequent use she hadn't been at all upset, was asleep when I got home and very calm. She is happy to wear the collar and walked into her bed as soon as I put it on. Effective till the red mist decends
We have a very lively cross bred dog with terrier ancestry.Until we got the spray he would bark at anything that attracted his notice.After fitting the barking mostly stopped, unless, for example a person came close to the car when he was in the boot space. I assess the spray for us at 90% effective. Brilliant product
I purchased this to see if it would deter my collie from his continuous barking in the car. He sussed out pretty quickly if he barked he would get a squirt of citronella. It's not harmful or cruel it's a great way to help condition your dog to not bark. very sad doggie
i no its ment to teatch a dog.but I scared mine to death. with in 3 days.she was very down and depressed. just layed there,doing nothing. shes only 1 year old,normaly running and playing. Very good, effective product
I've always been skeptical of these types of collars. Dog behaviourists don't recommend them. However, I was desperate for a solution because my dog was barking in the early hours and was waking us all up. I used this collar for just one week and now he doesn't bark like he used to. It was a God send and now we can enjoy a lay in in the mornings. Very good and would highly recommend. Only downside is if they shake, it does go off. So I didn't keep it on him all the time. Cruel
Was recommended this for my very excitable dog who barks a lot. The battery pack is huge and must be very uncomfortable. Also, have since taken professional advice and this is seen, by many trainers, as cruel. Your dog should be given treats as praise, for jobs done well, not punished by a foul smell if it does wrong. leaks a bit.
I have recommended this collar to several people because of the effects it has had on my dog, but I am concerned that I use so much spray. I am now on my 3rd tin of spray but another friend is still on her first. I can hear the spray collar hissing when I fill it up so I am sure that it is leaking.
