Bosch dampers
Purchased these due to the original 9 year old dampers being worn out and letting the machine come alive on its spin. The front of the machine had to be removed to access the drilling points to enable the drilling out of the old 13.5mm pins. The replacement pins were inserted, but due to the size of the head on the pins, these did not insert fully home and engage the locking tab on the end of the pin. This enabled the pin to work free, and the damper to drop out leaving the drum to bang around during the spin cycle. I had to remove both pins and reduce the size of the pin head to achieve a full insertion of the pin,and enable the locking tab to engage. As a further safety measure to ensure that these pins remained in place, I drilled a small hole through each pin and fitted a small split pin, locking the plastic pins in place.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Firstly, congratulations to the retailer for actually specifying a pair of dampers are offered. Most retailers are unclear about this. The package arrived an fitted though my letterbox. These have much more sliding force than the ones which came off, so they have dramatically reduced the washing machine vibration. Unfortunately the plastic pegs for the drum side would not latch on the drum, so there is a risk of them eventually falling out (as one other reviewer noted). I therefore cut the tip off the peg & put an 8mm bolt through the centre of the peg, with 2 nuts on the end of it, so as not to stress the drum. If they need replacing again, this will also dramatically speed up the process as I will not have to remove the front of the washing machine. One year on, the washing machine vibration is increasing an there is a knocking noise. I suspect this is from the dampers which have quite a short bearing surface & I can feel some side to side play.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bosch classixx 1200 express dampers
Have to remove front panel to gain access to shock absorbers. Only had 12mm drill to remove old pins but worked fine. To get the new pins to fit fully home so the tab clips into place fit the pin in from the back of the hole pushing it towards you. Used small amount of washing up liquid before fitting the pins to aid fitting. Stops machine banging around on spin cycle. Great product

Great replacement.
These fit my Siemens XL1400 (although it's not a listed model). Far better design compared to the the circular aftermarket replacements which fall apart easily. Washing machine now runs like new.
