  • Nice model, great results, instructions could do with a few changes.

I have built quite a few of these, this was by far the most difficult, the instructions were OK but occasionally not clear enough as to which way around a part had to be formed, however the really difficult part was that a lot of small parts are assembled far too early in the process leading to them getting bent or snapping off when other parts were added, the order of assembly is not optimised to be able to assemble with damaging parts. That said very enjoyable to build.

  • Houston we have a problem.

The Apollo lunar module metal kit is difficult to build, you need to watch the youtube videos before you start, to get an ideal of how it is constructed. I nearly gave up at one point, but it pays to leave it for a while if you get disheartened. I think it was worth the effort cause in the end you have a nice accurate model of the famous lander. Some parts are really fiddly so take your time. How they manage to build it in a couple of hours I don't know it took me several evenings.

  • Hard, but satisfying

This model is beautifully made and elegantly designed. It's rated as moderate difficulty for ages 14+, but (even as a Chartered Engineer) I found it surprisingly difficult to do. It can be very delicate and fiddly to assemble, but when it's complete, it's a lovely, elegant and satisfying project. It takes several hours and a lot of care, but I'd say it's well worth doing

  • Small but perfectly formed

The detail in these small models is astounding, assembled carefully they are perfect. Take your time and you will be rewarded with a perfect little Luna module

  • Great and challenging little kit.

Excellent high quality kit. It is beautifully designed and made, though at times somewhat fiddly. A pair of fine round nosed pliers are essential, as are some magnifying glasses.

  • Not really worth the time

I brought this product to test out the metal earth model line-up. I wasn't a fan after the first hour as the instructions were not clear and could have been done in a different order to make things better/ easier.

  • A must for a space nut.

Fantastic detail. I will admit to using super glue. Be careful with the perforated bendy bits: They snap easily. My tip is leave the thrust motors until last as they get in the way when manipulating the model together.

  • Good Accident

Came across these products by accident (UTube) but glad I did. I’ve not completed the model yet but so far, with care it is making a good model.

  • Nope

All the pieces are very thin and flimsy. They just snap off when you are to bend in the perforated areas. I wouldn’t mind only glue looks awful on the metal. I wouldn’t recommend these Metal Earth kits at all!!
