Excellent pair of snips.
really nice tool it says it will cut 1mm metal and it does a reasonable job on brass. I'd not like to have to cut much sheet stainless with it though. I think it would maybe manage but struggle. the were very good for snipping through 2m stainless bolts though and no marks on the blade. The first thing I tried to cut was 2.5mm hardened copper and it wouldn't get through that. just too much material to move out the way I think. They feel like chunky scissors on tin can and would make very short work of any aluminium I think. One thing to note is you will find these quite uncomfortable if you have small hands. The handles must be long to provide leverage but it does mean that the grip is very large and not practical for small hands. I noticed my hands were very tired from over stretching repeatedly and I have reasonably average/large-ish hands. This is understandable at my since I'm cutting that their limit and the force needed is considerable but for small hands I think they would be impractical.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works well so far
A typical Stanley tool, looks well made and, so far, is working well. I've been cutting wire mesh to keep vermin out of animal sheds and this tool is enabling me to work single handed. There's plenty of leverage to enable cutting harder/thicker materials and I don't see any problem cutting steel sheet later.
