Good for arty folk
Bought for my wife and she loves it, she's arty. Personally I think it's a lot of money for what you get, then again Derwent are one of the best.

Good range of Natural colours
I already had a good number of Faber Castell Polychromoas pencils and wanted a range of colours that would complement them. These colours are more subdued and within this range there are colours that you won't necessarily find in the polychromos pencils. They contain a number of pastel pinks and greyed tones such as Ash Rose and some pastel lavender and lilac tones. They are a harder pencil which means they can be sharpened to fine point for fine detail. I have found that the pencil cores in some colours are softer than others. I have been able to use them together with the polychromos and been able to add subtlety to my drawings. The box they come in is excellent. Each pencil has its own a slot and is held in place. The one thing you won't get with this set is vibrant reds, but as I have a good range of these in polychromos pencils it wasn't a big issue for me but if they are the only set you are getting you may want to take this into consideration
