Behold...the portable clavinova
OK, not actually a clavinova given that the action is semi-weighted but the samples used for the sounds are basically like the budget end clavinovas, which is a good thing. The speakers are good for the size and the action is OK. I'm a professional musician and tend to use a Kawai MP9500 most of the time, but I'll be damned if I'm carrying that thing around! This is a really simple, very handy instrument that also works well as a midi controller keyboard. I use the Garritan CFX library with it and they work well together.
For families without much space then this makes a nice entry keyboard - but don't expect it to react like a real piano. Better to get a fully weighted keyboard if you want to play Beethoven and Chopin. It's real niche is as a lightweight option for the gigging musician, or peripatetic teachers (to circa Grade 3 level pupils) who don't have access to a piano in the schools they visit. For them there's nothing better on the market in this price range. And their backs will forgive them!
