    Shimano R550 pedals

    Great quality for the money! I've had dura-ace and ultegra pedals only difference is these are resin not carbon. I prefer these. There's hardly a difference In the weight and also I found the more expensive pedals to be a waste of money. These have the same bearings as ultegra pedals bombproof

    Way too tight for my wife to unclip safely.

    My wife has had the previous version of these the pdr540 for many years and had no problems but even adjusted to the easiest setting she struggled to unclip and fell off her bike three times on one ride due to this. My wife is an experienced cyclist so knows how to unclip her feet from the pedals but these have caused cuts and bruises. They have been removed from her bike now and we await delivery of a new set of the trusty pdr540. I have now found the pdr550 make an exelent although expensive pair of bottle openers that are now kept by the beer fridge in the garage.
