This product is good for the money as it magnifies great but it is fiddly to use as you need to keep very still to use as item you are looking at goes out of focus easily if you do. The screws that tighten on side of head also could be improved as moving part of headband gets loose and you have to tighten them again and again. Miniatures painting
Great aid to painting close up details on miniatures. Easy to get to grips with straight away. I thought there would be a learning curve but it was very quick and straight forward to work in detail almost immediately. The light is effective however is the wrong colour balance for accurate colour painting. I use a directional table lamp for the main illumination. Perfect for what I need it for
I do mobile pedicures, so i need a good light and focals to see it better, this thing does both and very portable too. I could have bought the special light for this but I need to carry it with me as well. It fits well on my head and not in the way of my own glasses. Unbeatable for the price
I bought this for repairing things like CD Players and any other small intricate jobs where you need both hands free, magnification and illumination and so far it has been perfect, just what I was looking for. I have used head magnifiers before of the type with two separate eye pieces and found them difficult to use and focus, but with this the one piece lense gives great clarity and no distortion providing you have it the correct focal length from the item you are working on which comes with very little practice. I note that some reviews say that the lense mounts are flimsy and don't seem like they will last long, personally I think if you use them with due care I don't think there will be a problem. Better than expected
For the price you get a useful help. For a more comfortable fit/material you obviously need to pay more. Again, it does it's job perfectly, but for more confort you need to pay some more.
