My cat started overgrooming chewing and pulling her fur out, I tried everything and still kept doing it, after vet visits and changes of food, cone collars, my vet suggested it could be protein such as chicken she is allergic too. I changed it this and she loves it plus the fur biting has decreased. It’s a habit now but her skin didn’t feel hot and it isn’t red any more.
