Already impregnated with flux which helps to attract the heated solder off the PCB
First time I've used this product (previously used a desolder vac gun) The desolder ribbon tape works well and is a useful alternative to the desolder vac gun.

Didn’t work for me
It was worth a try but only absorbed a minimal amount of solder. I ended up buying a cheap mains suction desoldering tool for under £10 which worked a treat.
