About this product

Product Information

This cooling system features three direct contact heat pipes and is intended to produce excellent heat conduction and airflow to bring down CPU temperatures. Running very quietly, at just 17 dBA on minimum speed, the fan has a wide range of speeds. Also, there's the option to add a second fan using quick-snap brackets for additional cooling. This cooling fan has a versatile all-in-one mounting system.

  • Compact heat pipe CPU cooler

It's a lot bigger than a stock CPU cooler but it's regarded as 'compact' by overclocking enthusiasts. I bought the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO CPU Cooler to replace a flower-type low noise heat sink/fan cooler and the difference in CPU temperatures was remarkable - 21C lower at idle and 22C on full power. This was with an AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE CPU running at standard 3.2GHz continuously (no clock stepping) and undervolted. The low noise cooler being replaced was designed for a less-hot CPU anyway. The temperature range before was 55-61C and now it's 34-39C. This means I now have scope for some overclocking while keeping the maximum temperature in the mid-50s. The fan runs faster than the old cooler so it is audibly louder but once the case is closed up the difference is not great. A nice touch is that fan (at least with the AMD clamp) can be rotated or reversed to suit the layout of your motherboard. I have mine pointing at the main exhaust case fan, which is ideal. On my board there is no problem with fitting close to adjacent memory modules. The fan has a four-way power and control lead so is speed controllable if your board supports this. You can also attach a second fan (not supplied) if you want a push-pull fan arrangement but tests seem to indicate this only provides a marginal benefit. Overall, this three heat-pipe cooler, with direct contact of the heat pipes to the CPU top, plus 92mm fan, works extremely well for the money.

  • Far quieter than the Intel stock cooler, much better performance.

Really good heatsink and fan, supports a wide range of sockets and installation is very straightforward. Keeps my i7-3770k below 75 degrees Celsius with the fan running at 40% speed even when at full load, while remaining inaudible. Shorter than the Hyper 212 evo, so it will fit in smaller cases. I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend to a friend, would have bought the hyper 212 evo if my case would fit it, but this is a great cooler, far better than the Intel stock cooler that came with my CPU.

  • Solid cooler with some flaws.

Very good cooler keep my i5 7500 on 37 degrees with minimal load, 50 degrees on full load when gaming massive drops compered with stock cooler, also quieter that intel cooler. Only 4 stars as are very difficult to use with lga 1151 as arms bit to wide and not going straight into the motherboard holes, requires bit of fiddling. When is mounted (due to size) there's not much around space so difficult to connect cables. Used wit m-atx motherboard and q300l case.

  • Great PC CPU fan

Easy to fit to LGA 1150 socket motherboard (MoB) without removing the MoB from the case. Fan is relatively quiet over the operating range. Very effective in dropping the CPU temperature by around 20 degree C when doing a 100% CPU load test.

  • Excellent value for money.

This is an excellent product at a very realistic price. My PC has run almost silently since it was installed. Similar products available but at a higher cost. This suits my need and have had no overheat crashes since installed.

  • Really good budget cooler

Very impressed with this cooler.Dropped my load temps 25 to 30C, and idle 4-5C. Be careful how you fit it if you are using on an Intel cpu,as the plastic pins can bend quite easily. The fan is near silent up to 70% using Speedfan, and not too loud even at 100% If you are looking for a cheap cooling solution, it is far better than the whiny stock Intel fan!

  • Small form factor, great cooling performance.

Small footprint, the installation is quick and easy with no need for backplate. Excellent cooler.

  • A superb upgrade and delighted for the price.

Using the free software 'Speccy' I monitored my PC's temperatures across the board both before and after fitting this cooler. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decrease in all temperatures from 2-5 degrees. For a large cooler it is very quiet. Easy to assemble for my configuration with clear instructions, though for ease and safety when fitting I found I had to remove the two RAM cards. If you set the four legs correctly for fitting its a breeze, just push fit. Removing the RAM was necessary for me during cleaning anyway. Not a job for massive fingers! Overall a superb upgrade and delighted for the price.

  • Cheap but well-made

Silly plastic clips aren't strong enough to hold it hard against the processor, so if you have access to the rear of the motherboard, fit it with four M4 20mm long bolts, washers and nuts. I tried twice to insert the clips properly and they are too weak to stay in against the tension of the squish of the silicon grease.

  • COOLER MASTER HYPER TX3 EVO - Better than standard box coolers

Small and silent. Gives good cooling, better than standard coolers. I have installed two in a dual cpu supermicro motherboard. It was hard to find a cooler that fits because there was very little space betwen the two cpu sockets. But this cooler fits perfectly. I had to modify the pins for the seating to 1366 socket though, used plastic distance and screws instead of the standard included.
