All OK, works very well!
Easy to used, however there is a large BUT, the useing instructions MUST be read and absorbed prior to setting up to avoid any actual malfunction of the clippers. The marks on the clippers are a little confusing, especially for how to remove the actual comb to put a smaller on in as the combs are a little on the flimsy size. Once set up, and the comb is in properly the item works very well and as yet I have not had to charge the battery, which is an excellent sign of lonlevity. the earlier model has lasted me at least 10 years, it still works but has to be plugged in to use, not reccomended really as this puts a strain on the charging set up. Truly DIY hair clipping!
The Philips QC5570 hair is, in my opinion, the only truly 'do-it-your-self'' hair clipper in the market. The rotating head makes it possible oneself to reach those 'difficult spots' with ease. A real pleasure to use. The clever ergonomic design and excellent build quality result in a long and reliable service life, more than justifying the relatively high price tag. In my experience, the only downside of owning one of these remarkable tools is that once you're friends and relations discover you have one, it spends more time in their hands than it does yours! Brilliant to use, but not perfect...
I have used this model of Phillips clipper now for the last ten years - brilliant design, with the rotating head. There are, however, two manufacturing issues which Philips have known about for years & do not seem to have made an effort to fix (big companies, eh?): 1) The battery lasts between two and three years, with an average use of once every 10 days; then it just gives up and refuses to take a charge. The battery cannot be replaced, so the whole unit needs to be junked. 2) The Precision Comb attachment is fragile (I have short hair and have never used the Big Comb). I broke two of them before I realised that you need to reset the length to shortest before removing the comb. But Philips do supply spares. If you accept that you may need to buy a whole new clipper every two or three years, it's well worthwhile. List price now (Nov 2020) is around £70, but I have always managed to pick one up for around half price, and you can build up a supply of spare attachments (including the rotating head & blades, which are removable) by cannibalising the old ones. Last piece of advice - after 18 months, start looking to buy a new one going cheap, BEFORE your current unit packs up in the middle of a trim, with no back-up to finish the job.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for cutting your own hair
Managing to make a great job using this on my own hair, far superior to the old circular Babyliss trimmer I used to have. Excellent clippers
Just cut my hair.We are in the middle of covid 19 nightmare. DIY haircut
As someone whose hairline is sadly showing diminishing returns, a close crop seems better than a comb over! This enables me to keep what is left of my hair tidy without visiting a barber. This is my second Phillips clipper, the first I had for a good few years before the “comb” broke. When I couldn’t find a replacement I bought a Babyliss DIY clipper, but found it didn’t do a very good job. So I decided to try Phillips again. This seemed a good price so worth a try. Although it doesn’t feel as substantial as the old one, it does seem to adjust more. So far, so good. In a couple of months it will have easily paid for itself. Amazing & just the job !
My wife used to cut my hair but having recently sadly passed on, I needed a haircut badly & dont like going to a hair dressers, I spotted this little gadget & sent for it right away, To say I am amazed at this gem would be an understatement, I have no trouble whizzing these clippers over my thinning but wild locks, because stretching my arms is a problem that comes with age its usually very difficult to cut my own hair ?
