    Makita dtd154z

It is very smooth and has enough power to do the job, however one might found the same category dewalt impact is more powerful using the same ah batteries, but I would argue both has it own usage areas. Makita impact is more smooth driver, whereas dewalt is extra power, same job can be done by both of them, for example tightening the ankor bolt, Makita does that a bit slowly but smoothly, dewalt does that with more power and faster. I would easily say that when it comes to screwing normal screws, Makita is a definite winner because it is a more smooth and gentle driver. At the same time it is definitely lighter weight and smaller handle too. Overall size of it also smaller making it look cool. I have been absolutely happy with my purchase. I should have bought hat ages ago. It is just a little magic this small driver. Power in it is incredible yet compact size. One might want to use at least 4ah battery with it because with higher ah battery you get more power. Overall brilliant tool. Thanks

    Good but could be better

It is not strong enough. Me and another coleg buyed this drill and another bought a milwake at the same price and its at half of the power and speed! Its ok but i cant really do any screwing with it as a fixer...it should have a bigger stronger motor at least with 20% Weight

  • Fantastic bit of kit

The sheer power you get from this little impact driver is increasable! I thought my last Makita driver was good (purchased about 2 years ago) but this model has more power, greater speed and seams to vibrate less whilst driving in the screws. Also has power/ speed adjustment, which is also a nice feature. Originally this new purchase was just going to be my backup piece, now its my main tool.

  • Makita Impact driver does what it should without effort.

I bought this to replace my 6 year old impact driver. Nothing wrong with the old one, but the new one is slightly smaller and quieter; this is probably because it’s new, It has the T mode as well as the soft, mid and hard settings, it is able to cope with 200 mm screws with ease and also small screws. Very little vibration through the hands either. Most professionals use only one make for cordless tools, so batteries are interchangeable. If you are in this group or are intending to buy more than one tool, then you cant go far wrong with Makita. I have used them for several years and find their products well made and robust. You can use them in the rain without harm. The batteries charge the quickest of al the main makes, and now they do 6ah batteries which fit all the newer tools. What more could you ask for?

  • Probably the best impact driver you can get IMO

I like Makita stuff. I had the old Makita impact driver and used it a LOT. Powerful and very reliable. Got this as it had more torque, battery lasts longer and it has a power setting. Perfect.

  • Light, quiet, fast & powerful

I’ve used a number of impact drivers over the years, & after buying this I can honestly say that it is the best I’ve used. It’s light, responsive & incredibly fast in high speed mode. You’ll need to have the newer batteries which have the charge indicator on the battery itself, as the drill has no charge indicator.

  • Makita impact driver

Fantastic impact driver. It replaced my old makita driver and is much better with the variable speed feature being really good.

  • Small with loads of power

Great impact driver. It is small, powerful and very fast for an impact driver 3600 rpm amazing. Im a dryliner so impact like this one is perfect. It can easily do all my tasks. It feels very comfortable. But what I miss is battery usage indicator. And that T mode is useless. I tried to work on that mode for a while, but I didn't liked it. The other thing is price. A bit expensive. But then again all makita impact drivers are long lasting. My previous makita dtd129 was working around 4 years and it could have done more, but someone stole it from me, therefore I bought this one.

  • Impact Driver

This is the model to go for if you are needing plenty of power all day for roofing, stud work, landscaping, all round property construction and projects. Variable setting allows you to set torque into soft or hardwood. Makita for many years has been the market leader in this field.

  • Makita dtd154z 18v impact driver

Very powerful drill drives in large screws with ease Literally will drive in any screw size puts the older model to shame as the old model would struggle with larger screws this one just gets the job done with ease. As for life span it remains to be seen but seems pretty well built so should last
