Coupled with a good motherboard, RAM, SSD and of course, a decent graphics card, this CPU is a fantastic core of a great gaming PC. Barely any improvement in gaming performance if you went for the i7 (and that costs MUCH more) so the i5 is perfect. No bottlenecks with this chip, the graphics card gets fed everything it needs without stuttering,
It also operates fairly "cool". I use a Noctua cooler, but any good heat sink and fan will be fine. The CPU goes up to 83 watts TDP which is much much lower than AMD's offerings and a good deal lower than the i7 chips.
