Replacement
My last alarm was. Kiddie and I had it for about 9 years before I got the end of life message? That Aldi needed the batteries changing occasionally. This time I've gone for the sealed battery version, which was only a few pounds more expensive. I hope it gives me the same level of protection and lifespan. Easy to fix
There was no instruction on how best to open the sealed plastic package containing the alarm! This may be best done with strong scissors, but take care. Easy to fix, just two screws in the wall. It is best to fix at eye level, to enable you to more easily see the flashing indicator lights. Alarm not as loud as my last Kidde model. Has a 10-year guarantee. Beware of the little instruction booklet; it is held together with staples which are not bent down at the ends. I caught my finger on one of them and drew blood; not life threatening though.
