Great DX format camera with Full Frame D500 capabilities.
Moving up from my D7200 which I found to be a capable camera and am pleased with the D7500 handling, smooth operation and full of capabilities. I flat out like the camera especially it's feel and smooth operation. This camera works well for me as I have a DX 12-24 mm, a 1.8, a 18 - 55 mm VR II, a 55 - 200 mm CR II, and my old 18 -299 VR I from my old D200. This camera provides me the range and quality I need for the type photography I use, so it has many of the D500 features in a DX formatt, saved me a lot of money to be able to use those lens which are all in great condition.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Camera is OK at best decent image quality but the camera has some issues.
Some of the buttons do not work correctly, and the the main menu button feels sticky and sticks down when you click it. Also the camera has a very weird smell to it and it is very distinct especially when using the view finder. One step under prof level
If you are not afraid of digging into menus to find the settings that matter, then you have a camera that can take you up to professional level photography. You Tube have some great walk throughs of the settings that matter by seasoned veterans, it was the best invested 1hr of my time ever. They got right to the point and showed what this camera can do. It is my first DSLR I have owned, and I went for just under top class and did not regret it (would have preferred a full format D850 but will have to wait for the cheaper used ones to appear). I have taken up my old hobby of photography, I used to use analog cameras and this is soo much easier to get the results you want. But remember, once you have a decent camera, it is the lens that matters the most, much more than the camera body. Try to get a lens that gives you the highest quality images and largest aperture you can afford, the difference is remarkable. Bigger and better yet easier to use than you might think!
The camera has lots of quick on-the-fly buttons, the touch screen is nice, and Bluetooth works well. Lots of upgrades, a much better processor and a burst 8 FPS is a nice feature.
