Better than you need; all that you can or should desire.
This is a camera of the highest quality, and no review on YouTube, or here, can delineate in full this camera's capabilities. It is complex, but not above use by amateurs with the desire to operate an advanced camera with some study. Menus are excellent and I found them intuitive. The manual that accompanies the camera is well written (English) and does not reflect poor translation. I've seen reviews suggesting that the automatic focusing is inferior to competing models but I find that it quickly locates objects I'm targeting. Pared with the equally high quality 'kit' zoom lens the S1 will serve you well for years to come. So, it's not a Leica. Or a Canon or Nikon or Sony. Years ago, Honda motorcycles, the number one manufacturer, had an advertising slogan that said 'Follow the leader'. Kawasaki came back with the retort "Don't follow anyone". That's exactly how I approached my decision to purchase this S1 -- I'm not following everyone else; I picked the best camera regardless of who made it.
