    Love it.

I am really pleased that I bought this. I was slightly dubious buying it, because of a couple of negative reviews about taste. Plus the fact that it doesn't have a drip tray. I have had this for several days now and think it's great. I love getting up to hot water, without having to boil the kettle first. It is so easy to put it to sleep for the night. This can be set from 1 to 24hrs. It locks automatically after each use and the water gauge is easy to read. Also, I haven't had any issues with taste. Took a few days to get to grips with using the button behind spout, but still works great without that. I would definitely recommend.

Very useful product (well made) let down by some poor irritating design features.

Very useful product let down by some poor design features. 1/ What is the purpose of the reboil button when you only have to change the temperature set point to 98 degrees? 2/ When refilling it automatically reverts to over boiling thus expending more energy than is necessary. For example when it reaches 97 degrees it then goes to temperature modulation mode (switching heating on and off) 7 times until it reaches 100 degrees (boils) and steam issues from the vent. Then it modulates another 7 times! boiling away and issuing lots of steam until eventually it turns off and allows you to press the button to pump water out for your tea. Very irritating and wasteful of energy and furthermore means you cannot place the boiler below a cupboard otherwise condensation will cause problems. 3/ It would be okay if when adding water (top up) it just heats the water back to the previously selected temperature. Surely it should do that shouldn't it? It would save energy and be easily done. 4/ The timer button is useful but a bit crude. Wouldn't it be better to re-utilize the boil button as a clock? then the timer button would be able to show the actual time you want the boiler to wake up in the morning. Basically some poor seriously irritating features that let down what is essentially well made product

  • Quick and quiet - Cuppa without the wait/worry

Fantastic device, originally purchased as I wanted a quieter alternative to a kettle, especially as now working from home full time and have a toddler and a baby on the way. There is a little noise from the unit when it boils after filling (Much less than our kettle) and 5 beeps to say its boiled, but then the unit is silent, only when dispensing water is there a beep for the unlock and a beep for the dispense. Having the water available instantly is also a great time saving. I do have to position the unit from under my cupboards when it boils as the vent is at the back, then it gets pushed under for the rest of the day. I have found it builds up limescale quite quickly but im assuming thats because its on continually keeping the water hot - I should use filtered water to fill it up but would rather descale weekly as less hassle. Overall a great product for the price.

  • Easy to use

I saw that one of my family had the 5ltr version of this when I visited, I was so impressed with it I bought a 3ltr one as soon as I got home. It's a great peice of kit, easy to use, 3 different methods to dispense the hot water, easy to refill. Very cheap to run, my family has a smart meter and said that somedays it cost 2p other days nothing whereas the kettle was over 60p each time. Beats a kettle hands down.

  • Really happy with this boiler

Really happy with this boiler, we've had 1 before, then after some years that 1 went and we tried another brand, what a mistake, only had that 1 a little while before we went back to this 1. Looks stylish, keeps water really hot, nice you can choose the temp you like and knock it off over night, to come back on at the time you would like. Good value for money, no more expensive boiling kettle, delivery excellent.

  • Better than a kettle by far.

It is super easy to use with a no nonsense interface. I would advise rinsing first but then just fill to the max line and switch on. It will auto boil. There is a pre temperature gauge to select between 98,85,60,59 and 40 degrees. I recommend leaving it on 85 for day to day tea and coffee. Pop it to 98 for hot chocolate as it's more powered or just leave on 85 and press the reboil. Only minor thing against for me is one of the pour methods, there is a little button under the nozzle that can be tricky to align. Save the hassle and use the big button marked dispense instead. Over all, couldn't be happier and would highly recommend.

  • Great water boiler/kettle

This has been a great addition to the kitchen with constant hot water available, we leave it on the hottest setting and it’s fine for tea and coffee providing you are not someone who drowns drinks with milk, the sleep function is great providing you remember to set it each night, I’ve personally found it’s better to top it up with water when the tank gets to half full rather than run it empty and give it a clean out every couple of weeks as our water is hard. The bits that could be better are the lid as it has to be lifted carefully from the side to top up with water when hot or you get a blast of steam over your hand if lifted from the front lip, I found the water pump air locked on first use and only got a dribble of water so using the manual pump for the first cup cleared this, the new kettle taste disappears after a couple of tanks of water have passed through it but that’s pretty much the same as any new kettle

  • Does exactly what it says on the tin!!!

I bought this model to replace the one - bought in 2015 - that had had enough of my constant use!!! I might have been left with only a lowly kettle (thank goodness I kept it) but, boy, did I miss the benefits of my hot water dispenser. I can't as yet write as detailed review as I would like as I only received this one earlier today but she (yes, she has a name - Betty Boiler) is already plugged in and performing. I only placed my online order on Sunday 10 Feb and was impressed when Mr Hermes delivered her today - Wednesday 13 Feb. Betty bleeps when she reaches the desired temperature - which my last one didn't do. Neither did it have a timer or variable temperatures. What's not to like?
