i think diaphram design could be better than the ball design
Iam used to the fittings that take the rbber ball.. i thought the shower was leaking at the point where the rubber ball seats,, i could see that the diaphram design looked 'better' so ordered that prv as well.. on fitting it.. and when i replaced outside cover and tried the shower, and still showed signs of water leaking.. it was at a different point where prv connects to shower not seating properly.
