1090’s
The SelectTech 1090’s are a great addition to my home gym. I enjoy training with them but be aware that if they are dropped or exposed to similar types of impacts they will likely incur some sort of damage. I would also add that it’s a good idea to purchase the Bowflex stand for the 1090’s as well because constantly changing the weight while the dumbbells are on the ground will be a real pain. Overall a great product and I am very happy with my purchase.

Truly amazing...worth every penny!
These dumbbell's are extremely well-made and insanely easy to rapidly adjust from 10-90 pounds. The dials at each end of the dumbbell twist bi-directionally and have a subtle, but solid "stop" at each increment. One feature I find truly exceptional is the ability to adjust the dumbbell in 2.5 pound increments (giving an asymmetrical weight distribution), allowing gradual progressive overload training (especially at lower weights where the regular 5 pound increase could be a 10-50% increase in the weight of the dumbbell). The dumbbells are incredibly stylish, if your into that sort of thing, but more importantly they are designed and constructed very well. Because the locking mechanism is not designed for the typical way dumbbells are abused in commercial gyms, you cannot drop these or do the "bro-toss" at the end of your heavy sets. You also cannot use these for plank rows or any other exercise where you would support your weight on the dumbbell. One potential drawback is the fixed length of the dumbbell at 17.5 inches. Some users might find this awkward, especially at the lower weight spectrum. And finally, the cost! These things are not cheap and therefore will not fit everybody's budget. But, if you are you are ready to make the investment in a single pair of heavy adjustable dumbbells that will replace a rack of 33 pairs of dumbbells (counting in 2.5 pound increments), these are truly exceptional.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Product at a Fair Price
I used to own a set of the 552s years ago. Then I abandoned the home workout thing and started going to the gym. Now the story is changed and become all too familiar. I tried to hold out for them become available through the actual website, but a year of waiting and working with annoying cheap dumbbells with twist on caps, I had enough. I climb and was hoping that would be enough to get stronger still, I am a very large man, but I think at best you can maintain your strength through something like that. These are great, just like the set of 552s I used to own. They are bigger than I thought they would be, but that is a me problem, I don't know why I expected them to be smaller. The downside to not being able to get it from Nautilus is that you pay a premium for them on a place like Ebay. They were not cheap, and really ran you about $400 more than you can expect to pay from the manufacturer. The other thing is they don't quite slide into place as easy as the set of 552s used to, but I am also putting some blame to placement of them. Due to our current limited space I have them on the floor. When we get a bigger place I'll get the stand which I think will help. That said, I am happy with them. They are a great product, and even at the cost they really save you a bundle if you want have between 10 and 90lbs in 5lbs increments. A set of 90lbs alone would probably run you between $200 and $250, plus the cost of shipping.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Complete Dumbbell set!
These are the final dumbbell set that I needed! Now I can push myself beyond the 52.5lb dumbbells I also currently have. Great item, got the item 2weeks before the expected date. When changing the weights, you have to make sure the dumbbells are pressed all the way in. Was hesitant when buying these, but the price was hard to pass up. I have a home gym with a squat rack and plates. All I was missing was a dumb bell set. This set saves space and completes my gym.
